Scope and Contents Stuart's diary begins on February 5, 1828 and concludes on June 8, 1828. This diary mentions prominent Pendleton families, an eyewitness account of a public execution in Pendleton and includes intellectual, religious and romantic speculations. Fifth Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers Ledger

Scope and Contents

A one volume account book of approximately 100 pages remaining within 259 numbered pages, showing accounts with soldiers and officers of the regiment and others. The ledger has suffered considerable damage and many pages are missing. J. H. Stribling's name appears in the volume for several entries, 1892-1894. Stribling was a member of the first class to enter Clemson.
